Cajun Dance & Zydeco in Atlanta
What's new at EtToi.com?
Certainly not this site's design — that's for sure. But a new one is in the works. (trust me ;-)
The dance schedule is new and up-to-date. Sorry about the hiatus.
A Cajun French vocabulary list is in the expanded Gator Bites section.
And the directions now include maps for your traveling enjoyment.
As a side note, please help save internet radio.
Eh Toi! In case you wonder what that means, eh toi (also hé toi or et toi) is a Cajun French phrase heard frequently in zydeco and cajun music that means, "Hey You" or "ayyyeeee!" or "you, son of a gun" or "yeah, man"— like when musicians shout encouragements to one another, such as "do it" or "play that thing," or when Marc Savoy shouts out "come on Doucet!!" when Michael Doucet is playing a really hot solo... just a Louisiana thing,... just seems to come natural.
